Angle of view background elements- Pointed straight ahead and slightly downward in a shadowed patch of grass, highlighting the contrast of the lighter fur on my cat with the darker shadowed background.

Intended message/emotion- Low-key concept, showing uniformity and harmony in composition by having the focal point be the lighter contrast of my cat's fur and the darker background to emphasize the dark shadows in the shadowed patch of grass the cat is laying on.

 

 

Intricacies of Process/Application:

 

My thought process behind this photo was to show the "Low-Key" concept. Playing around with the histogram for these photos was challenging but fun. I really enjoyed making adjustments with exposure and different angles to find the right amount of dark/light contrast to emphasize the low-key details. I found low-key to be much easier to take than high key, since the adjustments to dark to emphasize the shadows was easier to accomplish. I feel this photo best represents the concept of low-key as the shadows are emphasized heavily in this photo with the cat's white fur acting as a focal point/white contrast to emphasize the dark shadows in the photo.
