Lake Sakakawea Spillway, Sunrise

This is the massive spillway for Lake Sakakawea in N. Central ND. The gates themselves have only been opened a handful of times during high water. The lake level can usually be controlled by the water removed on the other side of the dam at the hydroelectric power plant inflow structure. This dam is huge - this is just the overflow spillway. Was a lovely morning. Could have used a few clouds in the sky though.
