'Mundane Moments' Walk in Nature
For this mundane moment, I decided to illustrate going for a walk in nature. This is an important part of my daily routine and always benefits my mental health, therefore I felt that this was a fitting activity to involve in this project. I have recently been inspired by the game design within Animal Crossing and therefore wanted to incorporate this type of style within my work. I did this by illustrating the figure representative of me, with short stiff arms and round hands. I also wanted the scenery to be playful and use bold minimalist shapes, therefore I explored using paper collage and scanning this to then digitally illustrate on top, creating detail. I also explored digitally illustrating a unrealistic natural space to compare my ideas.
