The photographer I chose to inspire my work was Julia Margaret Cameron. Her work is more known for her soft close ups of women. Some photographs being in the indoors and some being out in nature. Most of her images are commonly unfocused and unrefined and have a type of blur to them. A lot of her photographs also include the artist, or the person she is taking a picture of, looking to the side. I chose to go outdoors and try to bring the “nature” portions of her photographs. Although there are not a lot of trees around my neighborhood I believe I still protrade the photo well. I also looked to the side as some of her artists do and didn’t really lean towards using a bright light and instead relied on the street lights to give it more of the “soft” effect as most of her photos have.
