Clix-O-Flex

by bergytone

The Clix-o-flex is a fake TLR bakelite from 1940. It shoots half frame on 127 film. Fixed aperture and single shutter speed, made for extremely slow film.

The film holding area was very sloppy so the spools would flop around, and I couldn't index the film without slippage. So I modified it with some pieces of foam to hold the supply spool in place and put tension on it.

It seems to be well built, but a poor design. It looks almost like a toy camera, I doubt it sold for much money back in 1940. The film spools have very little to keep them from unspooling in the camera, so when i tried to advance, it would just forward almost a full frame. So I added some foam in the spool area to put some tension on the supply spool. Then I could wind it without it jumping around.
