I used to own a 1950 Williams shuffle (puck) baseball machine called "double header". I just sold it to a fellow out east, so before he came and picked it up, I shot some photos of it. It has a running man mechanism on top that allows the base runners to move with each 'hit'. Back when you could play for a dime.
An extrememly complicated system of relays and rotary contactor devices keep track of innings, outs and base runners. A fascinating view of 1950 engineering.... no integrated circuits... all mechanical.
Shot in existing light with a Nikon EM loaded with Ilford HP5 and self developed in Xtol 1:1 dilution.
