Prototype shutter tester

I'm finally going out for PCBs for my shutter speed tester design. I will be offering this up for sale early next year.

The sensitive photodiode sensor will measure leaf and diaphragm shutters up to 1/2000 sec. It will have dual sensors for measuring 35mm curtain speeds (vertical and horizontal) shutters up to 1/4000th sec. It will include a plug in light source and runs on a pair of AA batteries. To save battery life it will have auto-shutoff.

The 2.2" color LCD will have the ability to display the shutter opening and closing waveform, as well as history on the last 10 tests for comparative purposes. There are many more software features I intend to add as this project progresses.

I'm excited to get this off the ground, and once the proto is proven out, I will be launching a kickstarter campaign to fund the first 100 piece build. My expected sale price will be $99 USD, but kickstarter supporters will get it for much less.

Leave me a note if you are interested.
