Salzburg Cathedral
The dark bronze baptismal font dates from 1320, a rare survivor from the medieval cathedral. In 1756, little Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was baptized here. For the next 25 years, this would be his home church. Amadeus means "beloved by God".
Mozart served as organist for two years here, and composed several Masses still played today. - Rick Steves
