Parque Natural Alvão, Outono (10)
One of our preferred mountain ranges, also classified as a Natural Park, Alvão is so dramatically different in the different seasons that it seems another place altogether.
In Winter, it is rugged, almost lunar, with bare slopes and grey tones. We love it this way. But in Autumn, it acquires the most incredible palette.
The road that takes us to Mondim de Basto - N304 - is one of the most scenic in our country at this time of year.
