This Fokker Friendship was built in 1983 and delivered to the Finnish Air Force in early 1984, as the third of three units acquired. Serialled as FF-3, it was based at Pori with the Satakunta Air Command, flying troop transport, cargo and liaison missions.
In late May 2005, FF-3 popped up at Dübendorf Airbase, as the support aircraft for a 4-ship Hornet detachment for joint training with the Swiss Air Force. FF-3 was subsequently seen on finals to runway 29, and what could have been a nice level landing photo was ruined by the Friendship's very steep final approach.
FF-3 served with the Ilmavoimat until 2013, when it was retired and moved to the Pori College of Technics, where it is now in use as an instructional airframe.
