OM-BYO was one of the last Tupolev 154s regularly operating across Europe. It was the official Slovak Republic Government transport, and was being operated by its flying wing, the Slovak Government Flying Service.
As such it was seen arriving on runway 14 as SSG001 from Bratislava-M.R. Štefánik on an official state flight. OM-BYO was built in 1989 as OK-BYO for the Czechoslovak Government, and was assigned to Slovakia upon the split on 01 January 1993.
OM-BYO continued in Slovak state service until 2016, when it was replaced by Airbus A.319s and Fokker 100s. In 2017 it was ferried from Bratislava to Kosice, where it is now preserved at the Múzeum Letectva (Aviation Museum).
