S7-AAG ¦ PRI 10.1983

Britten-Norman BN.2A Mk.III-2 Trislander (c/n 1052)

Air Seychelles

Grand Anse-Praslin Island Airport (PRI/FSPP)

October 1983

The Trislander was a three-engined development of Britten-Norman's successful Islander, but never reached the popularity of its predecessor. Only some 80 Trislanders were built between 1970 and 1982.

Number 52 was built in 1977 and delivered to Air Seychelles in late 1979, becoming S7-AAG. It was subsequently seen parked at Praslin, awaiting its next service. Air Seychelles used their Trislanders on scheduled flights out of Mahé to the major islands, and for charter services between the islands.

S7-AAG left the fleet in 1986, when it was acquired by the perhaps best known operator of the type, Aurigny Air Services. Becoming G-PCAM, it served with Aurigny until 2001, when it was retired at Guernsey, and eventually permanently withdrawn from use in 2011. Its marks were cancelled, but according to several sources the airframe should still be at Guernsey.
