PH-KBX ¦ ZRH 24.01.2008
Fokker 70 (F.28-0070) (c/n 11547)
Government of the Netherlands
Zürich-Kloten (ZRH/LSZH)
24 January 2008
For over 20 years, this Fokker 70 was the Dutch government aircraft, being deliverd in 1996 and sold to Australia in 2017.
Registered as PH-KBX, it was seen climbing out of runway 28, picking up the Dutch government party after their participation in the 2008 World Economic Forum at Davos.
After serving with Alliance Airlines in Australia as VH-KBX until 2024, the aircraft was registered as 5Y-KBX and is now in service with Kenyan carrier Skyward Express.
Interestingly during all its life, the aircraft carried its Dutch government colours, including the silver crest near the passenger door. Even in November 2024 upon delivery to Kenya the colour scheme was still an unchanged full Dutch government!
