FF - St. Hubert - Reminiscences
At the Blessing of the Hounds, in the churchyard of St. Chistopher's-by-the-River, before the Opening Meet these medals were given to each member of the Hunt. It would be tied to the horse's bridle with ribbon. It portrays St. Hubert, the patron saint of hunters, on the reverse of a sterling St. Christopher's medal. I received this one about 1954, and it has traveled in my wallet since then. Fond memories. It is about the size of a quarter.
