Lego 9650 Mobile Rocket Launcher

 

There have been several great rebuilds of this set which inspired this MOC. Here's my try on 9650.

I wanted it to fit in with the 10497 Galaxy Explorer and its alternate models.

Some ideas are borrowed, some are stolen, some are mine.

The brick with the number '6950' on it is custom printed.

I tried to keep the original's play features, e.g. suspension and rear axle steering. The launch pad is rotatable and there are retractable ladders on the sides.
