The sweet evening comes,

and to You I address a prayer,

Lord:

– Thank you with all my heart

for the blessings you have given me:

life, my parents,

the smile of heaven,

the scent of flowers,

the heart to love,

the mind to think.

You have given me this roof

for every holy affection;

so many gifts, Lord;

thank you with all my heart.

e a Te una preghiera

io rivolgo, Signore:

– Grazie con tutto il cuore

dei beni che mi ha dato:

la vita, i genitori,

il sorriso del cielo,

il profumo del fiori,

il cuore per amare,
