N’oublie jamais ce que je t’ai dit, mon fils.
Tout au long de ta vie, tu rencontreras des voix qui essaieront de te détourner de ton art,
de te faire taire,
de t’arrêter.
Mais tu sais que tu as du talent.🎼🎸
Et tu sais que j’ai cru en toi,
je crois encore,
et je croirai toujours en toi.
Ne reste jamais immobile face à l’ignorance,
ni blessé par ceux qui ne savent pas voir au-delà des apparences.
C’est l’une des failles les plus tristes de la nature humaine :
la peur de ce qu’elle ne peut pas comprendre,
la compétition là où il pourrait y avoir de l’admiration.
Dans l’art, comme dans la vie.
Admire. Avance. Ressens.
Tu n’as rien à prouver.
Tu as tout à offrir.
Je t’ai appris à regarder,
à écouter,
à partager.
Ce jour-là,
c’est toi qui as vu,
et qui m’as interpellée.
Alors cours, mon fils.
Le monde n’est pas toujours prêt.
Mais toi, tu l’es.

It is one of the saddest flaws of human nature:
the fear of what it cannot understand,
competition where there could have been admiration.

Admire. Move forward. Feel.
You have nothing to prove.
You have everything to offer.
I taught you how to look,
how to listen,
how to share.
That day,
you were the one who saw.
And who called out to me.
