LP records are an audio format for phonograph records or record players. They are typically 12 inches in diameter and are made out of vinyl material. They boast a playing speed of 33 1/2 rpm and are capable of produces around 45 minutes of audio playing time. LP records produce audio through the use of microgrooves that come into contact with a needle on record players, and these grooves are present on both sides of the record.
