Capacity Building Workshop on the Implementation of Plea Bargain Guidelines

In collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Justice (FMoJ), we are taking decisive steps to mainstream the practice of plea bargaining across Nigeria’s criminal justice system. This initiative is aimed at equipping stakeholders with the necessary knowledge and strategic frameworks to effectively implement plea bargaining as a tool for justice reform.
By institutionalizing this mechanism, we seek to significantly reduce court caseloads and pre-trial detention periods, ultimately easing the burden on the judiciary and enhancing the overall efficiency of criminal justice administration in the country.
