Commemoration of Restorative Justice Week 2024

The Lagos State Ministry of Justice, in collaboration with The Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption (RoLAC) program, organized a stakeholder meeting on November 25, 2024, to commemorate Restorative Justice Week. The meeting, themed "The Promise of Restorative Justice in a Polarizing World," aimed to explore how Restorative Justice can address systemic injustices and foster compassion and forgiveness.
The event was held at The Zone in Gbagada, Lagos. Mr. Haroun Adebayo, SSA to the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, emphasized that Restorative Justice is not just a process but a mindset involving listening, learning, and addressing injustices. He also highlighted the importance of creating a culture of compassion and forgiveness.
