Police Training on Presentation

In collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), RoLAC organised a 5-day training workshop of selected police instructors from police colleges and state police commands across the country on the new curriculum for Standards of Practice (SOPs) on Arrest and Management of Persons in Police Detention and Custody; Stop and Search; Searches and Seizures; FO237 on Use of Firearms; the Conduct of Identification Parade by Police Officers; Investigative Interviewing; and Conducting Investigations.

With this training programme, RoLAC aims to achieve several key objectives including but not limited to; Educating officers on the legal and regulatory framework governing relevant statutes, policies, and case law; Developing officers' ability to assess and analyse different situations; Incorporating modules on human rights principles, ethical considerations, and cultural sensitivity into the training curriculum; Education of officers on the importance of accurate reporting, documentation, and review processes as well as the management of public orders.
