Kilchurn Castle
Kilchurn Castle
It was a fair day in Scotland when I arrived at Kilchurn Castle. It was to proof that you did not always need to shoot in the golden hours to create good images. You just need the right light for the composition. The sunlight cast a warm tone on the stones of the castle which went well with the green hillsides in the background. What clouds there were hung on the hilltops with nothing but empty blue above them. I choose to make a six-shot panorama at a 2.25:1 ratio that would include just the clouds on the hilltops leaving just the hills, castle and reflection to fill the frame. With the wide pano it created a very wonderful sense of place to the image.
