Miller 12p - “911 What’s Your Emergency?”
A first draft concept for the second exercise recreating scenes from The Feminine Mystique by Betty Friedan. A cultural classic and a catalyst for second wave feminism, The Feminine Mystique is my favorite book in my adulthood. While reading, I highly related to the women before my time suffering from poor gynecology care, hidden chronic illnesses, miscarriages, and other bloody, gruesome female healthcare issues with the additive of a poor excuse of a husband. These self portraits depict these painful ailments I so heavily related to while reading.
