Ferrari built 27 212 Export Competition chassis. Several different coachbuilders were
used to design and build the bodies.
This Ferrari 212 Export Cabriolet is one of a pair of cars designed by Giovanni Michelotti and built by Carrozzeria Vignale. The Turin-based coachbuilder was one of Ferrari's preferred firms.
Interestingly, the Ferrari is very similar in style to the Cunningham C3s that were being built by Vignale at that time.
