Satellite Launch

A Plymouth Satellite for 1968. A very nice looking car with clean lines, and this was a great example of one!

The Plymouth Name Game. Back in the mid forties they had a DeLuxe, but they all did, even if they weren't so deluxe, but Plymouth had theirs. And then came a bunch that could have easily been hotel chains. The Cambridge, The Concord, The Cranbrook, The Belvedere, The Plaza, The Savoy! And then several odd names, The Cricket, The Duster, The Barracuda, The Colt, The Neon, The Roadrunner and we can't forget The Volare. (and we heard that song by Domenico Modugno a million times back then) And in the mix of all that hubbub there was the hot one, a Fury, a true asphalt burner, often with a multi carb'd hemi under the bonnet. And alas, comes The Satellite which basically launched them into space, and to never be seen, nor heard of again! (and I know I left out a few)
