Water vs. Skewer
For this photo, I used a water balloon, a skewer, and my friend Matthew to create a scene where it looked like the water was attacking the skewer—like a battle where the water was winning. I used a fast shutter speed to capture the exact moment the balloon popped, freezing the motion of the water in midair. After taking the shot, I edited the image by cropping out the balloon so that the focus was just on the dramatic burst of water. My goal was to make the water look alive, powerful, and almost like it had a mind of its own.
