Church Interior

A photo trip exploring the small river towns along the banks of the Ohio river can be an interesting adventure. It's fun to just pick a village, pull off the highway, and engage in a little scouting about. You never know what you might find.

Here, in the quiet little town of Higginsport Ohio, I stopped for a while and did a bit of looking around. I found some pretty good stuff. Like...

A good stand of white clover growing right in the middle of the town, (which must be every wild rabbit's version of paradise), an abandoned kerosene pump (complete with photographers reflection), and a window showing that somehow, the entire Higginsport Christian Church ended up getting stuffed inside of the abandoned general store.

I'm not really sure how they manage to do these types of things down along the river – maybe it's best not to ask.
