The Alien Portal (ver1)

It's gone now, but a couple of years back, I thought I had discovered the last remaining phone booth in the state of Ohio.

I fell in love with the thing the moment I spotted it - glowing brightly from about three miles away - while driving near Point Pleasant Ohio.

It had some issues – like the fact that it had no phone – but its unique lighting system more than made up for that slight negative.

I set up, and grabbed some images, then stopped to get something out of the Jeep...

When I turned back around, there was a guy standing there. He kinda just appeared out of nowhere, and he looked like a cross between Wolfman Jack and Lowell George. "You a professional photographer?" he says.

"Just having fun", says I.

"Well I am" he says, and starts walking off into the night.

Then finally, over his shoulder, he shouts, "Nice tripod."

Then he just walked away and disappeared...

Was that thing really just an old phone booth?
