It wasn't that long ago that people were heading to the mountains in search of gold. While mining, like they did in the late 1800's is a thing of the past, ,the beauty of gold returns year after year enticing thousands of tourists or "miners" and locals to go on trips to view the turning of the aspens in Colorado from late September to mid October. My dad and I were stopped at a picnic table, listening and watching the beautiful golden leaves collect like gold rich veins along the creeks in the high mountains. What a great time it is to be in nature.
