ALLATRA Participates in Congressional Prayer Breakfast: Constructive Dialogue on Peace and Security
Washington, D.C. — The ALLATRA International Public Movement (IPM) took part in the high-level Congressional Prayer Breakfast under the theme “Peace and Cooperation”, held on Capitol Hill, Washington, D.C. The event brought together members of the U.S. Congress, diplomats, religious leaders, and representatives of international organizations committed to peace, sustainable development, and global security.
The event was hosted by Mr. Robert Ilatov, CEO of the Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast; Mr. Duvi Honig, CEO of the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce; and Ms. Kateryna Odarchenko, Head of the Institute for Democracy and Development “PolitA.”
Among the distinguished guests were Congressman Mark Green, Chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security; H.E. Oksana Markarova, Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States; Ambassador John Herbst, expert in Eurasian affairs; H.E. Dr. Tiffany Lancaster, UN Ambassador and Special Envoy for Public Affairs; Rev. Joel Tenney, International Faith Leader; Bishop Leon Benjamin; and Ms. Maryna Ovtsynova, President of ALLATRA IPM.
Maryna Ovtsynova, President of ALLATRA IPM, emphasized the importance of constructive dialogue and international cooperation:
“In these times of global challenges, true progress is only possible through respectful dialogue and genuine cooperation. ALLATRA continues to build bridges between nations, faiths, and communities—always placing the value of human life and the future of our planet at the center of our efforts.”
During the event, Ms. Maryna Ovtsynova held a conversation with Congressman Mark Green, addressing the pressing challenges facing humanity today. The participants emphasized the necessity for collective engagement by both the scientific community and civil society in pursuit of solutions to global issues.
ALLATRA representatives discussed with H.E. Dr. Tiffany Lancaster, UN Ambassador, the importance of public participation and inter-institutional cooperation for a harmonious society.
They also met with Rev. Joel Tenney and Bishop Leon Benjamin, who highlighted that attacks on freedom of expression lead to fear and persecution, threatening democracy itself.
