SNARED

The dragonfly was no match compared to the speed, agility and precision of this wader.

This Semipalmated Sandpiper was foraging along the shore restlessly running and probing when something caught its attention. I was lying low close to the ground focused so much on the bird’s movement that I wasn’t aware of anything else around. I saw it suddenly caught something in flight and upon closer inspection I realised it was a dragonfly. From following to catching and having it was all over in a few seconds.

As for me, getting my pants wet to catch the action was all worth it in the end I guess😅😜
