Eye to eye!

This was a scene of a Green Heron catching a fish and then tossing it a couple of times before having it whole. I took a series of shots to freeze the action and this particular frame got me hooked.

 

While going through the series of photos, what caught my attention was the last look as the fish and the heron’s eyes meet. Nature’s beautifully crafted food chain where one dies so that the other can live.
