Solar activity has been gradually gaining strength during its current Solar Cycle 25, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC) estimates that solar maximum will occur between late 2024 and early 2026. However, we have been quite fortunate to already witness some of the strongest auroras from the beginning of 2024. Hopefully it stays that way and we are able to experience more of this magnificence in abundance. I thought May 10 was a big deal but August 11-13 didn’t disappoint at all.
