Everything everywhere all at once.

August 11-13 2024 was possibly the most happening time of the year celestially. It was also a very special time of the year for me. I was fortunate to experience some of those celestial events all at one go. The Perseid meteor shower and the G4 solar storm that brought some bright auroras brightened the night sky. This was bortle 2 skies at a remote beach bordering a provincial park in Bruce Peninsula, Ontario 🇨🇦. I couldn’t help but imagine how it would be to try and capture a tiny glimpse of all that was happening and all that I could see. Here’s a frame with the full arch of the milky way (again 😅), the Andromeda Galaxy, Perseid meteors, Aurora Borealis, Planetary airglow and a patrolling helicopter 😜 with the mighty lake Huron on one side and a provincial park on the other.
