Mighty lures of the night sky š
Another humbling experience! Congratulations to all those who got to experience the majestic experience recently. For those who couldnāt, donāt worry, thereās more coming. We were at Bruce Peninsula, for a few days and I was very keen on taking advantage of the dark skies over there. I was particularly excited about the Perseid meteor shower and wanted to get some good photos. Well guess what? On 11th night, while I was keeping an eye on the readings and updates from an Aurora group that I follow, I just pulled out my phone to a take a photo just to check if anything is going on. What I saw on my phone blew my mind. The Aurora Borealis is active! I didnāt waste a single moment. Packed everything up quickly and found myself a nice location nearby. I set up my camera and looked up and it was everywhere. The aurora was so strong it lit up everything around and punched through the clouds. I knew it was no May 10th, 2024 but I was just grateful and happy that I witnessed it yet another time. This is a frame from the multi-angle time-lapse videos I shot that night. Managed to get this bright Perseid meteor. Hope you enjoy āŗļø
