Fall In Love

Kiarostami, the famous Iranian filmmaker, once said that love is born out of a misunderstanding—because when we don’t really know each other, we think we’ve fallen in love. But when we face the reality of who people are, we realize that what we imagined never truly existed.

I believe the opposite. People can understand each other—if only they dare to show their true selves. The problem begins when we hide, when we polish and censor ourselves just to impress. Over time, that makes us sad—and a sad soul can no longer love.

Like the moon: whether crescent, half, or full, it’s always beautiful to me. Even when humans set foot on it and many said, “There’s nothing special about the surface,” I still loved it—because to me, it is alive, and it carries life.
