A Few Minutes with a Green Heron Feeding

Hot afternoon in an abandoned river channel in Texas. I watched from across that gulley on a slope about 15 feet above. If you look closely on certain photos, you can see the small fish the bird has disentangled from the vegetation it inadvertently brought up with the capture.
