Yellow-crowned Night Heron on a Torrid Texas Afternoon

It's 100+ degrees F here (30+ for you Celsius fans out there). These herons are using various strategies to cope. I'll post another showing my favorite one. BTW, I like the way this lens portrays gently moving blurred water.
