Feeling comfortable in front of the camera

These images were taken at the start of my component one project called perception. Additionally, this photoshoot was my model’s first in studio shoot using costume, background and lighting so she was nervous about being in front of the camera. As my project was about perception, I wanted to make sure she was comfortable throughout the shoot so I made sure she was involved in the process, consulting her throughout. My intention behind this shoot was to help my model perceive herself in a more positive way as I wanted to show her and my audience, that one poorly shot image does not define you and when shot using lighting, background and angles that suit you, you will be able to view yourself the way everybody else see’s you which is in a positive light. My model responded positively to this shoot and was extremely happy with the happiness and the confidence I captured, which benefited how she perceived herself.
