Army 10-Miler
Today, U.S. soldiers assigned to Regional Command East of the NATO-led KFOR mission participated in the “Army 10-Miler”, a tradition of the U.S. Army that dates back to 1985, to promote the Army, build esprit de corps, support Army fitness goals and enhance community relations. More than 40 soldiers from the U.S. and U.K. contingents ran 10 miles at Camp Bondsteel. These efforts are part of KFOR's daily mission to guarantee a safe and secure environment for all communities living in Kosovo.
KFOR continues to implement its mandate - based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 - to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times and impartially.
