Curiosities_Frazel Ice under the River Ice

I've seen this type of tendrilled ice on rare occassions but never thought to look up the name of the phenomenon. Turns out, when there is a quick and deep plummet of temperature, a river with just the right amount of turbulent current will call ice crystals to form in interesting lattices, such as this.
