Sheppherd's Dell

I tried shooting a roll of slide film on a hike and realized just how much I need to practice before I can do slides justice. So many things that I take for granted in digital need to be so carefully accounted for during the shoot. Eventually I'll get used to that. This shot has a lot of things wrong with it and that's part of the learning experience, which I feel gets ignored all to much in the age of carefully manicured content creation. Everything just takes practice to master.

Getting better at shooting film is a fun learning experience, and it gives me more excuses to get out in nature. Hard to turn that down!

Shot on Ektachrome 100 in a Nikon F4 with a 24mm lens. Scanned with a Fuji XT5 and an 80mm macro lens, processed in Lightroom
