Assignment #3: Concept
Conceptualizing color and focus. These are five images that are ordered in from most amount of focus + least amount of color, to most color with the least amount of focus. Really, these images try to remove photography from constraints discussed in Chapter 1, and seek to remove it from a “perfected” art form. I enjoyed going back and forth from my Sony a6500 to my iPhone 15 Pro. Seeing how the hardware and software showcased aperture. The concept was encouraged from my different POV shots, and seeks to challenge the importance of focus. A messy painting is beautiful, but can an out of focus image? I guess my purpose was to use color as content in the absence of focus. Focus was used with little to no color indicating a lack of energy. Color was increased with less and less focus and was meant to increase abstraction.
