"Transformation"
I decided to merge Rene Magritte’s painting The Man in the Bowler Hat, where a dove covers the figure’s face, with the famous Silence of the Lambs movie poster featuring Clarice and the moth. Both images deal with identity and mystery - Magritte hides the man’s face behind the bird, while the film poster uses the moth as a symbol of transformation and hidden darkness. Putting them together felt like a way to explore how faces, masks, and symbols can both reveal and conceal meaning. I wanted the piece to spark curiosity and a little unease, inviting people to think about what lies beneath the surface.
