Bloom Where You Are Planted, Darling
The light here is perfect, isn’t it? A little theatrical, a little dreamy. It suits me, I think! Standing like this, with these gorgeous dogs at my feet, really feels like celebrating something. And what am I celebrating? The joy of simply being…me.
This outfit: Oh, this outfit! It's just such fun. This salmon-pink skirt jacket ensemble dances around my legs and shoulders; layers of flirty fabric with the perfect bounce. The color is so soft, almost a blush on a petal, yet so much more intriguing than a plain pink. And these tights underneath! A little something extra for me. It's a feeling – confident, playful, undeniably feminine.
It wasn’t always like this though, confidently owning every frill and flutter. I remember Mrs. Peterson, my neighbor when I was growing up, noticing I loved her flower garden. She’d say “See how each bloom blooms in its own perfect way?” And she's so right!
I love feeling good in what I wear, not worrying if it’s "right" or “masculine enough”. Really, most people aren’t paying nearly as much attention to me as I think they are. They have their own lives and little dramas of their own! And those who *do* notice? Well, sometimes they're the best supporters you never expected. It is liberating.
So, yes – be yourself, loudly and beautifully. Flower the world!
