Watching the first sunrise of the New Year and receiving positive energy from nature is a deeply meaningful traditional ritual for the Mongolian people, rooted in centuries of history and cultural heritage. In order to preserve and promote this important tradition, Ulaanbaatar Railway has been operating a special tourist train for the 25th consecutive year.
Alongside Mongolian participants, tourists from South Korea, Japan, and the United States, as well as ambassadors from these countries accredited to Mongolia, took part in the journey. Through this unique experience, they had the opportunity to closely experience Mongolia’s rich traditions and cultural values while welcoming the New Year in a symbolic and memorable way.
