Rocket Bunny BRZ v1.0
Boom! Finally revealing my first gen Subaru BRZ, aka the Scion FRS and the Toyota GT-86. Mostly built with the Rocket Bunny V2 kit, one of my favorite widebody kits of all time for this platform. It also has the Rallbacker V2 front fenders, a Seibon hood, and a VIS Racing diffuser. On top of that, it is swapped with a single turbo 2JZ!
Now, there is a lot of history with how this build came to be, but it is far too long to fit into a single post, so I will have to make a video/story of it in the future.
But to give it a shorter rundown, this was the very first Lego car MOC that I created. It started all the way back in 2017! It was then finalized in 2021 after many awkward phases.
I was inspired by many builds, but especially @connor_lol as I was amazed by his Rocket Bunny V2 build. At the time, I couldn't get a car in real life, so I decided to build my very own model car out of Lego. Browsing for inspiration online, I found "davanchiM" aka @_dm_designs_au_ on mocpages. His builds gave me inspiration for the fenders and the nose of the bumper.
Watching @tjhunt_'s videos and his meme of widebody and bags, inspired me to add an air tank in the trunk for its air suspension. I also watched @bisforbuild swap a 2JZ into his BRZ, and I thought that was awesome, so I did that as well.
After building my Supra, my building skills and standards have definitely grown and changed. Looking at this build now, it's not up to my current standards in terms of accuracy. However, it will always be a very special build to me, as it is my first which I learned a lot from. So, I will be keeping the core of it as is, but maybe I will make a second-gen BRZ in the future.
Version: v1.0
Scale: ~1:18
