A "Real" Survivor

Survival is very "real" for the Black-capped Chickadee. They live year round in Canada and can survive our summer temperatures that can climb to over +30C and our winter temperatures that can drop down to -40C. They are tough, resilient little birds who are in a constant state of motion in their search for food which makes them tricky to photograph as they rarely sit still. They are delightful visitors to backyard feeders and if you are patient long enough they will even come and sit on your hand for food.
