Soupe du jour

Today was chilly so I made the guys some tomato soup. I have a feeling the basil might have been a bit confusing but I only had one bowl returned.

 

My soup wasn't as red as the one in my recipe book. No idea why. Anyone have any ideas to share?

 

At least my bread crusted up nicely 😁
