Not the Berlin Wall
Today, 9 Nov 2024, Germany marks the 35th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. That day in 1989 was one of huge celebration and relief for many. It also marked the beginning of the end for the DDR, and led to the reunification treaty of 3 October 1990.
Not everyone was happy about this, and some even felt that they had been annexed.
It marked a turning point in the way that Europe works, and a step towards the current position in which Europe now finds itself.
With that said, Berlin was definitely party central back then.
